【摘要】:1.1Thispracticedescribesaprocedureforobtainingstereologicalmeasurementsthatdescribebasiccharacteristicsofthemorphologyofindigenousinclusionsinsteelsandothermetalsusingautomaticimageanalysis.Thepracticecanbeappliedtoprovidesuchdataforanydiscretesecondphase.Note18212;Stereologicalmeasurementmethodsareusedinthispracticetoassesstheaveragecharacteristicsofinclusionsorothersecond-phaseparticlesonalongitudinalplane-of-polish.Thisinformation,byitself,doesnotproduceathree-dimensionaldescriptionoftheseconstituentsinspaceasdeformationprocessescauserotationandalignmentoftheseconstituentsinapreferredmanner.Developmentofsuchinformationrequiresmeasurementsonthreeorthogonalplanesandisbeyondthescopeofthispractice.1.2Thispracticespecificallyaddressestheproblemofproducingstereologicaldatawhenthefeaturesoftheconstituentstobemeasuredmakeattainmentofstatisticallyreliabledatadifficult.1.3Thispracticedealsonlywiththerecommendedtestmethodsandnothinginitshouldbeconstruedasdefiningorestablishinglimitsofacceptability.1.4ThemeasuredvaluesarestatedinSIunits,whicharetoberegardedasstandard.Equivalentinch-poundvaluesareinparenthesesandmaybeapproximate.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
