【摘要】:ThisisthefirstASTMstandardtestmethodforassessingthemassquantityofparticulatesinmiddledistillatefuels.TestMethodD5452anditspredecessorTestMethodD2276weredevelopedforaviationfuelsandused1galor5Loffuelsample.Using1galofamiddledistillatefuel,whichcancontaingreaterparticulatelevels,oftenrequiredexcessivetimetocompletethefiltration.Thistestmethodusedaboutaquarterofthevolumeusedintheaviationfuelmethods.Themassofparticulatespresentinafuelisasignificantfactor,alongwiththesizeandnatureoftheindividualparticles,intherapiditywithwhichfuelsystemfiltersandothersmallorificesinfuelsystemscanbecomeplugged.Thistestmethodprovidesameansofassessingthemassofparticulatespresentinafuelsample.Thetestmethodcanbeusedinspecificationsandpurchasedocumentsasameansofcontrollingparticulatecontaminationlevelsinthefuelspurchased.Maximumparticulatelevelsarespecifiedinseveralmilitaryfuelspecifications.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofthemassofparticulatecontaminationinamiddledistillatefuelbyfiltration.ThistestmethodissuitableforallNo.1andNo.2gradesinSpecificationsD396,D975,D2880andD3699andforgradesDMAandDMBinSpecificationD2069.1.2ThistestmethodisnotsuitableforfuelswhoseflashpointasdeterminedbyTestMethodsD56,D93orD3828islessthan38x00B0;C.Note18212;Middledistillatefuelswithflashpointslessthan38x00B0;Chavebeenignitedbydischargesofstaticelectricitywhenthefuelshavebeenfilteredthroughinadequatelybondedorgroundedmembranefiltersystems.SeeTestMethodsD2276andD5452formeansofdeterminingparticulatecontaminationinSpecificationD1655aviationturbinefuelsandothersimilaraviationfuels.SeeGuideD4865foramoredetaileddiscussionofstaticelectricityformationanddischarge.1.3Thistestmethodhasnotbeenvalidatedfortestingbiodiesel,suchasmeetingSpecificationD6751orblendsofmiddledistillatesandbiodiesel,suchasmeetingSpecificationD7467,orboth.TestMethodD7321hasbeendeterminedtobesuitablefortestingB100andallblendsofmiddledistillates......
